10h00: Opening ceremony in the presence of Mr. Jean-Marie Bockel, President of Mulhouse Alsace Agglomération and Secrétaire d'Etat à la Justice.
10h30: Visit of the facility and presentation of Rhenovia Pharma
11h30: Buffet lunch
On that occasion, Mr Jean-Marie Bockel; president of Alsace-Mulhouse community and Secretary of State for Justice will be present accompanied by all our partners -economical, institutional, local, regional and national financial organizations, politics and the press- who contributed to anchor Rhenovia Pharma in the economical landscape of Alsace Region and facilitated our establishment in Mulhouse.
Created on May 3rd 2007, Rhenovia has obtained several national economical awards and has been labeled "Young Innovative Enterprise" by the French government. Strongly supported from the beginning by a number of local economical and political personalities(*); Rhenovia has been temporarily housed in the startup incubator at the Maison du Technopole in Mulhouse. Now, just three years after its incorporation, the company is moving in its own offices.
During this launch phase, Rhenovia has been recognized by French business and scientific authorities, the European Community and the American National Institute for Health (NIH). In addition, Rhenovia won several national, international and European call for projects (**) including collaborative project with French partners. In addition Rhenovia has signed contracts with Sanofi-Aventis and the European leader in engineering Altran.
This opening ceremony represents an important step in the development of our young biotechnology company which is now ready to gain market shares with its an operational service offer of innovative solutions to treat neurodegenerative diseases of the central nervous system (Alzheimer, epilepsy, etc…). Based upon an innovative breakthrough technology of computational biosimulation and surrounded by an international team of professionals from pharmaceutical industry and renowned researchers, Rhenovia offers high value added services in order to optimize the drug discovery process and reduces cost of drug development.
Today Rhenovia's team consists of 12 full-time employees and 5 external collaborators as well as scientific, legal and business development advisors with high qualification level and strong experience. In collaboration with its academic partners (University of Haute-Alsace, Strasbourg University, Pôle Chimie Alsace, Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Mulhouse) Rhenovia is also strongly involved in the training of students and participates to their professional integration (3 PhD students, 2 graduates students in chemistry and 1 in Management).
Overcoming the actual financial crisis; Rhenovia Pharma's future is promising and relies on additional recruitment, development of current ambitious projects and upcoming partnerships with big pharmaceutical industry, yet in negotiation.
